Mississippi State FairMississippi, October 7-18, 2009, http://www.mdac.state.ms.us/n_library/departments/fair_com/fair_sfair_funguide.html For the past 149 years, the Mississippi State Fair has entertained, excited, and mesmerized crowds with its mile-long midway, spectacular rides, and free entertainment. Every year the fair has close to 600,000 in attendance with 12 days of back-to-back events. This year, the 150th annual Mississippi State Fair will have vast amounts of entertainment, circus acts, rodeos, parades, exhibits, rides and food.
Admission Prices: Adults, and Children 6 and over, $5, Children under 6, FREE. Parking Prices: $5 per car, $10 per bus plus $4 per person. Entertainment: SAVING ABEL/TODDY PORTER, Oct. 7, 7:30 p.m.; Things You Don't Want to Miss: Circus Acts, Square Dancing, Clogging, Pig Racing, the White Lily Biscuit-Making Booth, Horse and Mule Pulls, Rodeos, Cattle, Swine, Sheep and Goat Shows, FFA Parade of Animals, 4-H Youth Exhibits, Vocational Exhibits, Children's Barnyard and Petting Zoo, Cheerleading & Dance Competitions, Circus Maximus, Mr. Leg Contest, Mother/Daughter Look-Alike Contest, Last Blast, Sneak-a-Peak, Ride Survivor, Ride-a-Thon, Antique and Classic Car Show, Beard Growing Contest.
